Explore the Tsitsikamma National Park

The Tsitsikamma indigenous forest is located along the Garden Route within the Tsitsikamma section of the Garden Route National Park. It is known for walking trails, canopy tours, suspension bridge walks, birdwatching, ziplining, forest cycling routes, and river activities such as kayaking at Storms River Mouth.

Visitors can explore short boardwalk trails or full-day hikes. The forest can be visited year-round, with mild weather in most seasons.

Dining options are available at Storms River Mouth Rest Camp and in the nearby village. The area is child-friendly, with short trails suitable for families. Bathrooms are available at main entry points. Some pathways and viewpoints are wheelchair-friendly, although natural sections of the forest have limitations.

Entry is pay-to-enter within the national park. Parking is available at designated gates and is generally safe. The one experience not to miss is the walk to the suspension bridges. Many visitors pair Tsitsikamma with Knysna, Plettenberg Bay, and Addo.
